The Asian Art Museum of San Francisco, one of the largest museums in the Western world devoted exclusively to Asian art, has invited jewelry designer Ciara Marasigan to launch her Cristal Fantaisie by Ciara Autumn / Winter 2007 collection entitled Persephone alongside the exhibition Pioneers of Philippine Art: Luna, Amorsolo, Zóbel featuring more than 30 paintings from the Ayala Museum chronicling one hundred years of Philippine painting from the late 19th to the late 20th century in the works of three artists—Juan Luna (1857–1899), Fernando Amorsolo (1892–1972) and Fernando Zóbel (1924–1984). The gallery will be open to the public from October 20, 2006 to January 7, 2007.

Ciara's exclusive collection for the Asian Art Museum, Persephone, was inspired by floral wreaths and garlands which she translated in jewel tones. With the genius color theory and the signature allure of her other creations, this collection boasts its Philippine material—mother of pearl and carabao horn mixed with gemstones, corals, and crystals from India, and Africa. Mostly in onyx, flesh, gold, and amethyst, this chunky take on the season's gem settings is a must-have to glamorize your cocktail minis for the holidays. Being fascinated with mythical fairies in fantastic floral 'dos, Ciara has created a special Persephone series of deliciously frivolous hair ornaments for the fun-loving fashionista.
